The VideoAmp team is comprised of veteran advertising and video marketers and engineers from Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Krux, TubeMogul, BrightRoll, OpenX, Gradient X, Rubicon Project, FreeWheel and Channel Factory.

Founders Bios:

Ross McCray // Co-Founder & CEO

Ross is the Founder and CEO of VideoAmp, a programmatic platform changing the way brands buy, plan and measure video ads. Ross founded VideoAmp with the vision to build a video advertising platform that could connect all devices and channels including television and online mediums.

From an early age, Ross was drawn to engineering and design. At age 10 he taught himself how to code. At age 12, he started his first company designing and hosting e-commerce solutions for over 250 small to medium sized businesses. After a successful exit, he launched one of the first mobile app development agencies in 2008 that won multiple awards. Most recently, Ross led Product & Technology for Channel Factory, a YouTube video distribution company serving a majority of the Fortune 500 Brands.

Ross is also an advisor to several technology companies based in LA, NY and SF. Ross hold a degree in Astrophysics from UCLA.

Dave Gullo // Co-Founder & CTO

Dave is the Co-Founder and CTO of VideoAmp. Under Dave’s guidance and leadership the engineering team has developed a video advertising platform from the ground up to be able to uniquely adapt to the market need of buying, planning and measuring video ads across multiple channels.

Dave Gullo is a hacker and entrepreneur who has been building the web for over 20 years. His past roles among others include founder and entrepreneur, software and systems engineer, human computer interaction and technology team leader. He has bootstrapped and solo-operated ecommerce sites and innovated existing processes building advanced customer relationship management tools. Most recently Dave engineered large-scale browser automation systems and data pipelines for Krux which tracks trends in online advertising and data collection. Prior to Krux, Dave was the co-founder at Command Line Interactive, an boutique developer agency catering to post series-A startups in the Silicon Valley. Dave is passionate about finding new and exciting ways to measure, track growth and offer customers better brand experiences through the use of technology.

Dave enjoys spending time with his family, drums and snowboarding. Dave is also a mentor at 500 Startups, the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship at Chapman University, and an advisor to Hackers & Founders. Dave holds a degree in instructional technology from California State University-Chico.
